This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, Crosley, Kenmore, and Tappan models. DIY Steps to Replace the 154740404 Frigidaire Dishwasher Plate Holder Fence Tine
1. Unplug your Frigidaire dishwasher and turn off the water supply.
2. Remove the lower access panel on the dishwasher. Most dishwasher panels are held in place by screws. If yours is, use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws.
3. Locate the old plate holder and fence tine. It should be near the bottom of the unit.
4. Disconnect the wires and hoses from the old plate holder by gently pulling them away.
5. Use a pair of pliers or a wrench to loosen the screws that hold the old plate holder in place. Gently pull it away from the dishwasher wall and set it aside.
6. Remove the old seal from the dishwasher wall by gently prying it away.
7. Take the new 154740404 Frigidaire dishwasher plate holder and fence tine. Place it into the opening, making sure to line up the screws with the holes on the wall.
8. Secure the plate holder by tightening the screws.
9. Reattach the wires and hoses to the plate holder.
10. Place the new seal around the plate holder to create a waterproof seal.
11. Replace the access panel and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
12. Plug in the dishwasher and turn on the water supply.
13. Run your dishwasher on a rinse cycle to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
14. Sit back and enjoy your updated dishwasher!
