To remove the bearing spray arm, first, turn off the water supply to your appliance. Then, detach the dishwasher’s upper spray arm by pressing in and rotating it counter-clockwise until it comes off. Once detached, unscrew and remove the nut that holds the bearing spray arm to the lower spray arm by using a nut driver or a large adjustable wrench.

Step 2: Replace the Bearing Spray Arm

Locate the new bearing spray arm and place it on the lower spray arm. Reattach the nut with a nut driver or an adjustable wrench and screw until it is firmly secured. Finally, attach the upper spray arm by pressing in and rotating it clockwise until it snaps into place.

Step 3: Test your repair

Turn on the water supply to the appliance and run a cycle to ensure that the new bearing spray arm is functions properly. If the new bearing spray arm does not move, it may need to be adjusted. To adjust the bearing spray arm, simply use a flathead screwdriver to insert into the existing hole and turn, clockwise or counter-clockwise, depending on which direction you want your bearing spray arm to spin.
