Step 1: Shut off power to the washing machine by either unplugging it from the wall outlet or turn power off at the breaker box.

Step 2: Remove the top panel of the washing machine by removing the screws along the back of the machine.

Step 3: Remove the agitator by first unscrewing the retaining nut on the bottom of the agitator, then lifting the agitator off the shaft.

Step 4: Unscrew the WE1M300 GE Bearing Bracket from the base of the machine.

Step 5: Insert the new WE1M300 GE Bearing Bracket into the base of the machine and fasten it in place with screws.

Step 6: Re-insert the agitator and tighten the retaining nut.

Step 7: Put the top panel of the washing machine back into place and re-secure with screws.

Step 8: Restore power to the washing machine either by plugging it into the wall outlet or flipping the breaker switch in the breaker box.
