Replacing the lower dishrack stud and roller assembly on your GE Dishwasher is a simple task that requires no special tools or skills. With the right instructions, you’ll be able to complete this repair in no time at all. Here are the steps you’ll need to take to replace the WD12X10231 lower dishrack stud and roller assembly.
1. Disconnect the power source to your dishwasher before beginning the repair.
2. Remove the dishracks and any dishes.
3. Unscrew the screws that hold the lower dishrack in place. They can be found on the sides of the dishrack.
4. Once the screws are fully removed you can pull the lower dishrack out.
5. You will find the old stud and roller assembly attached to the bottom of the dishrack. Unscrew the bracket from the assembly.
6. Remove the old stud and roller assembly from the dishrack and discard it.
7. Insert the new WD12X10231 Stud and roller assembly into the dishrack. Secure the assembly with the bracket you removed earlier.
8. Place the lower dishrack back into the dishwasher and screw it in place with the screws you removed earlier.
9. Reconnect the power source to your dishwasher and you’re done!
