Turn off the power to the sump pump and disconnect the electrical wiring from the sump pump.
2. Unscrew the check valve from the pipe by unscrewing the two nuts on either side of the valve.
3. Place a bucket under the sump pump to catch residual water and remove the old check valve.
4. Take the new GE WD01X22514 SCR 10-32 GX IHXW 9/16 Sump Pump Check Valve and align the two pipe connection points with the two open ends.
5. Secure the new check valve by tightening the two nuts on either side of the valve using an adjustable wrench.
6. Reconnect the electrical wiring to the sump pump.
7. Restore power to the sump pump.
