Spray arm weld works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of dishwashers. 1. Unplug your dishwasher and empty any water or dishes inside.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws on the outside of the lower access panel at the bottom center of the dishwasher.
3. Pull down the access panel to loosen it, then slide it away from the dishwasher.
4. Locate the spray arm mount in the center of the dishwasher. Its round shape and distinct ridges can identify this.
5. Use a pair of pliers to disconnect the hose clamps for both the upper and lower spray arms. If there is corrosion around the clamp area, you may need to scrape it away before easily removing them.
6. Carefully remove the upper and lower spray arms.
7. Remove the mounting clip by carefully prying it off with a flathead screwdriver.
8. Remove the defective spray arm weld (WD22X10055 GE Dishwasher Spray Arm Weld) and replace it with a new one. Make sure it is securely fastened to the mounting clip.
9. Reassemble the mounting clip and replace the upper and lower spray arms.
10. Reconnect the hose clamps for both spray arms.
11. Replace the lower access panel and secure it with the two Phillips head screws.
12. Plug in your dishwasher and test it out.
