1. Unplug and power off your dryer: Always unplug the dryer from the wall outlet before you start any maintenance or repairs.

2. Open up the dryer door: Use a flathead screwdriver to take the two screws out of the top and bottom edges of the dryer door. Lift the door off and set it aside.

3. Remove the existing gasket: Pull the old gasket away from the edges. This can be done with your hands or a flathead screwdriver.

4. Clean the area: Make sure the area is free from dust, lint and dirt. Use a vacuum or a damp cloth to make sure that the area is clean.
