2. Open the door and remove the screws from the bottom of the washer’s cabinet.

3. Lift off the top of the washer and pull back the insulation on the washer’s interior.

4. While holding the latch handle in one hand, carefully remove the screws securing the latch to the washer with a screwdriver.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness for the old latch, then remove it from the washer.

6. Install the new door latch kit by sliding the latch into place over the door’s strike plate.

7. Connect the wiring harness to the new latch and secure it to the washer with the screws provided.

8. Replace the insulation and top of the washer, as well as the screws at the bottom of the cabinet.

9. Plug in the washer and turn on the water supply. Test the new latch to ensure proper installation.
