Step 2: Open the microwave door and remove the screws that are securing the front panel to the body of the microwave.

Step 3: Carefully pull the front panel off of the microwave and set it aside.

Step 4: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws that are holding the old latch assembly in place.

Step 5: Lift the old latch assembly up and away from the microwave, then disconnect the wires that are attached to the back of it.

Step 6: Take the new latch assembly and connect the wires to the back of it.

Step 7: Slide the new latch assembly into place and secure it with the two screws removed earlier.

Step 8: Replace the front panel of the microwave and secure it with the screws, then plug the power source back into the outlet.

Step 9: Test the latch assembly to make sure it is working correctly.
