Water filter – pleated works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of water filter systems. DIY Instructions: How to Replace Your GE Water Filter System Water Filter – Pleated Polypropylene
1. Start by turning off your water supply. Locate the main shut off valve and turn it off in a clockwise direction.
2. Unscrew the filter housing from the wall or cabinet. This can be done with a wrench for plastic housings, or a socket for metal housings.
3. Pull out the old filter and discard it.
4. Take your new filter and insert it into the housing in the same way that you removed the old filter. Make sure that the arrow on the filter’s housing is pointing towards the water supply.
5. Once the filter is securely in place, tighten the housing’s connection to the water supply.
6. Turn the main water supply back on and check for any signs of leaking. Ensure that all connection points are secure and that no water is spilling out.
7. Test out your new water filter by running the water for at least five minutes to flush out any debris or air trapped in the filter.
8. Enjoy your clean, filtered water!
