Handle assembly works with some GE, Hotpoint, and RCA models of microwaves. Replacing the WB15X24436 GE Microwave Handle Assembly
1. Start by unplugging your microwave from the power source. Then, remove all items from the countertop around the microwave.
2. Open the door of the microwave so that you can access the handle assembly.
3. Use a Philips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws located on the top of the handle holder frame, as well as the two screws on the bottom.
4. Remove the handle assembly from the frame and then disconnect any wiring harnesses that may be connected to it.
5. Take the new GE WB15X24436 handle assembly and connect any wiring harnesses needed.
6. Align the new handle into the original position and secure it with the screwdriver by reattaching the four screws.
7. Close the door and plug the microwave back into the power source.
8. Test the new handle by opening and closing the door to ensure it is secure and working properly.
