Lp conversion kit assembly works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of stoves / ovens / ranges. Replacing the WB49X26658 GE Range LP Conversion Kit Assembly
1. Start by ensuring that you have the correct replacement LP Conversion Kit Assembly. The WB49X26658 replacement kit should include the following parts: 1 regulator valve, one conversion orifice, one tee cap, one hose, and one fitting. Make sure all of the required parts are present before continuing.
2. Before you begin, turn off the gas supply to the range and disconnect the gas supply line from the gas inlet connection.
3. Remove the existing LP Conversion Kit Assembly, which is typically located under the cooktop.
4. Install the new regulator valve into the range, making sure it is properly secured with the provided screws.
5. With the regulator valve in place, attach the conversion orifice and tee cap using the included hardware. The orifice is typically installed with a #10 hex head screwdriver.
6. Connect the supplied hose to the tee cap and then to the gas inlet connection of the range.
7. Finally, attach the provided fitting to the other end of the hose and then reconnect the gas supply line to the gas inlet connection.
8. Once everything is connected, turn on the gas supply and check for any gas leaks.
9. When you are certain there are no gas leaks, the LP Conversion Kit Assembly replacement is complete.
