1. Gather the required tools for the job. You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver and a pair of pliers.

2. Disconnect the power to the appliance before attempting to do any work.

3. Locate the clamp which needs to be replaced. It is usually located on the lower back panel near the base of the appliance.

4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen and remove the screws that attach the clamp to the appliance.

5. Once the screws have been removed, use a pair of pliers to detach the old clamp from the appliance.
