Door plunger works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of washing machines. 1. Unplug the power to the GE washer before doing any repair work.
2. Open the lid and locate the door plunger near the top of the washer’s cabinet, centered between the door opening and the lid.
3. Grasp the plunger and pull it straight down and out of the door housing.
4. Insert the new plunger into the door housing. Make sure it is seated completely and securely.
5. With the plunger fully inserted, press down on it firmly until it clicks into place.
6. Plug in power to the GE washer and test the new door plunger.
