1. Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet and turn off the water supply.
2. Locate the screws that hold the lid assembly in place on the top of the washing machine.
3. Remove the screws using a Phillips screwdriver and carefully lift the lid off of the washing machine.
4. Place the new lid assembly into position and secure it with the screws you removed during the first step.
5. Reconnect the power and water supply to the washing machine.
6. Run a cycle to ensure that the lid is properly secured and functioning as intended.
