LG Electronics Sears Kenmore Washer Front Boot Gasket CLAMP ASSEMBLY 1. Unplug the power cord on your LG Washer and shut off the water supply valves to ensure safety.
2. Open the washer’s lid and remove any items from the drum interior.
3. Locate the front boot gasket clamp assembly on the front of the washer, just beneath the central agitator.
4. Place a large flathead screwdriver in the center of the gasket’s clamp and gently pry the clamp open.
5. Carefully slide the old gasket out from the opening and discard it.
6. Insert the new front boot gasket in the opening and push it all the way down until it is firmly in place.
7. Securely close the gasket’s clamp with a pair of pliers to ensure a tight fit.
8. Plug the power cord back into the washer and turn the water supply valves back ON.
9. Test the washer to make sure your new front boot gasket is properly installed and fully functional.
