Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator from the power source.

2. Locate the filter on the bottom-right side of the refrigerator near the floor.

3. Pull out the old filter by rotating it counterclockwise until it comes out. Throw the old filter away.

4. Insert the new 5231JA2006F LG Refrigerator Water Filter Cartridge into the filter port, making sure that it is oriented correctly and that the arrows are pointing in the right direction

5. Twist the filter clockwise to securely lock it in place.

6. Turn on the water supply to the refrigerator and plug it back into the power source.

7. Run the water in the refrigerator for around two minutes to flush any air out of the system and remove potentially dusty particles.

8. Check for any water leaks from the filter. If there are any, turn off the water supply again and check if the filter is properly installed and secure.
