1. Unplug the washer from power supply to avoid any potential electric shock hazard.

2. Remove the screws located around the top panel. They can be found on either side and the bottom should have two.

3. Once the screws are removed, lift the top panel up and off the unit. This will give you a better view of the interior.

4. Locate the pressure-var switch, located near the front of the unit. This can sometimes be hidden by a hose or wiring.

5. Manipulate the clamps holding the wires to the unit in order to remove them. Wires must be disconnected before taking the switch out.

6. The switch can either be held in place by screws on the side or by brackets. Loosen the screws or brackets.

7. Gently lift the Speed Queen 201609P switch and remove it from the unit.

8. Place the new switch into the unit and make sure it is secured properly.

9. Reconnect the wiring to the unit and secure it with the clamps.

10. Replace the top panel and secure it with the screws.

11. Plug the washer into power supply and check for proper operation.
