Step 1: Unplug Dryer

Step 2: Remove Cabinet

Remove the screws from the front of the cabinet with a Phillips screwdriver, and then pull off the cabinet, taking care not to damage the outside of the dryer while doing so.

Step 3: Remove Idler Arm

The idler arm holds the dryer belt in place, so use a flathead screwdriver to Loosen the two screws that hold the idler arm in place. Once the screws are removed, the idler arm will be free to slide off the dryer.
