To do this, locate the main gas shut-off valve and turn it counter-clockwise.

2. Remove the existing GASKET-FIPT by loosening the nuts located on either side of the faucet with a wrench. Pull the gasket away from the faucet body.

3. Clean the area around the opening in the faucet body where the GASKET-FIPT was located. Remove any debris or buildup from the area.

4. Determine the correct size of the new Whirlpool 2177311 GASKET-FIPT for the installation. Most GASKET-FIPTs should have the size etched on them. If not, measure the opening with a ruler or other measuring tool.

5. Place the new GASKET-FIPT into the opening of the faucet body and slide it into place. Make sure the gasket is properly aligned and seated.
