Step 2: Access the dryer’s interior components by removing the top panel, front panel, and lint screen.

Step 3: Disconnect the wires to the 4391996 Whirlpool dryer flat ignitor by releasing the terminal clips.

Step 4: Remove the screws that secure the ignitor to the burner and pull the ignitor out.

Step 5: Slide the new ignitor into the holder and secure it with the screws.
