Ice and water filter 1 works with some Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and Roper models of fridges. Replacing the EDR1RXD1 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice and Water Filter 1
1. Unplug the refrigerator from its power source before beginning.
2. Locate the filter on the rear wall of the refrigerator’s interior. It will be on the upper left side of the compartment near the top.
3. Grasp the filter with both hands and turn it counterclockwise to unlock it.
4. Gently pull the filter out while holding the tab to unlock it.
5. Insert the new filter into the same space. Make sure that the o-ring of the new filter is properly aligned with the grooves of the receptacle.
6. Turn the filter clockwise to lock it into place.
7. Reset the water filter indicator light on your refrigerator’s control panel (if applicable).
8. Finally, plug the refrigerator back into the power source and enjoy your fresh water and ice!
