ASSY,THERMAL FUSE 1. Begin by unplugging the Speed Queen D518542 Assembly, Thermal Fuse from the wall outlet.
2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, carefully remove the two screws that secure the top of the dryer panel.
3. Carefully lift the dryer panel up and off the frame of the dryer.
4. Locate the thermal fuse on the back of the dryer circuit board.
5. Unscrew the two screws that hold the thermal fuse in place and gently pull it out of its socket.
6. Take note of the wiring that is connected to the thermal fuse and make sure they are securely connected to the new fuse once it is installed.
7. Insert the new thermal fuse into the same socket as the old one was in and secure with the two screws.
8. Make sure all of the wiring is securely connected to the new thermal fuse.
9. Place the dryer panel back onto the frame of the dryer and secure with the two screws.
10. Plug the Speed Queen D518542 Assembly, Thermal Fuse back in the wall outlet and test the dryer.
