BAKE ELEMENT Replacing the WB44T10060 GE Range Bake Element
1.Turn off the power to the oven at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
2.Open the door of the oven. Remove all racks and items inside the oven. Do not plug in the oven while performing the repair.
3.Locate the element on the bottom of the oven and remove the screws that are securing the element to the oven with a Phillips head screwdriver.
4.Pull out the old bake element, noting the connection points and how it is wired.
5.Remove the mounting screws from the new bake element with a Phillips head screwdriver.
6.Feed the wires from the main oven wiring harness through the element opening and reconnect the same way the old element was connected. Make sure the wires are connected properly, it is important for safe operation.
7.Secure the new bake element to the oven with the Phillips head screws.
8.Turn the power to the oven back on and test your work by turning the oven on to the bake function for a few minutes.
9.If your oven runs correctly, replace all racks inside the oven.
10.Now that your oven has been repaired you can relax and enjoy the peace of mind knowing that any future repairs will be completed safely and with the correct parts.
