CABLE Replacing the 154578801 Frigidaire Dishwasher Door Hinge Cable

Here are easy to follow instructions on how to replace the 154578801 Frigidaire Dishwasher Door Hinge Cable.

Tools needed:

• Phillips head screwdriver

• Needle nose pliers

Instructions:

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply before beginning this repair.

2. Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower rack.

3. Remove the two screws at the top of the control panel with a Phillips head screwdriver.

4. Pull the control panel up to expose the top of the door and the hinge cable.

5. Use needle nose pliers to disconnect the plastic tab connecting the old hinge cable to the top of the door.

6. Remove the two mounting screws holding the hinge cable in place.

7. Install the new hinge cable in the reverse order.

8. Plug the power cord back in the wall outlet and turn on the water supply.

9. Test the dishwasher to make sure the door is opening and closing properly.
