CONFIGURED SERVICE MACHINE CON 1. Locate the GE WD21X25739 Configured Service Machine Coupling. It should be in the area just behind the washer’s outer shell and can usually be found by the main drive pulley or the tub-shaft assembly.
2. Unplug the electric power cord from the wall socket. Then turn off the water supply valves in order to prevent any water leakage while you’re replacing the component.
3. Open the access panel on the back of the washer and locate the coupling. Make sure to disconnect the wiring harnesses as well as any other parts that may be connected to the coupling.
4. Disconnect the mounting plate that holds the coupling in place. Use a flat-head screwdriver if necessary.
5. Once the old coupling is removed, place the new coupling in position before tightening the mounting screws.
6. Reconnect the wires, making sure to take note of the colors that correspond to each.
7. Reinstall the washer’s back access panel.
8. Plug the electric power cord into the wall socket.
9. Turn on the water supply valves to restore the water flow.
10. Check for any leaks and ensure that the new coupling is secure.
