Contact us for further questions as well as any other appliance parts needs! 1. Unplug the power cord from your Fisher & Paykel dryer and shut off the gas supply valve, if applicable.

2. Remove the top cover of the dryer by lifting it up and pulling it back.

3. Locate the heating element. It will be located near the bottom of the dryer, behind a protective cover.

4. Remove the screws that secure the protective cover in place and remove the cover.

5. Disconnect the wiring harnesses and unscrew the two hex nuts holding the heating element.

6. Remove the old heating element from the dryer.

7. Carefully inspect the new heating element (818980P) for defects or damage.

8. Place the new heating element in the same position as the old one and re-secure it with the two hex nuts.

9. Reconnect the wiring harnesses.

10. Replace the protective cover and fasten it with the screws.

11. Plug the power cord into an appropriate outlet and turn on the gas supply valve, if applicable.

12. Test the dryer to make sure it is working correctly.
