This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, Crosley, Kenmore, and Tappan models. DIY Replacement Instructions for 297250000 Frigidaire Evaporator Fan Motor
1. Turn off and unplug the refrigerator to avoid electric shock.
2. Remove the back panel of the refrigerator, located behind the freezer:
a. locate two screws that secure the back panel in place
b. unscrew the screws and set them aside
c. carefully lift the panel up and away from the refrigerator
3. Locate the old fan motor which sits in the center of the evaporator:
a. disconnect the electrical harness from the motor
b. remove the mounting screws located on either side of the motor
c. gently pull out the motor and remove it completely
4. Install the new fan motor 297250000 by reversing step three:
a. place the new fan motor into the evaporator
b. replace the mounting screws
c. reconnect the electrical harness
5. Replace the back panel and the two screws to secure it back in place.
6. Plug the refrigerator back in and turn it back on.
