Step 2: Locate the filter. The filter is usually located at the back of the refrigerator near the bottom or underneath it. If you cannot locate it, refer to your refrigerator’s user manual for more information.
Step 3: Turn off the water supply. Before continuing, turn off the water supply that powers the refrigerator’s ice maker and water dispenser. This can usually be done by simply turning the valve or knob on the wall behind the refrigerator.
Step 4: Remove the filter. Unscrew the filter housing cover, then gently pull out the old filter.
