Ever had a messy kitchen caused by an old and cracked porcelain drip bowl? Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us. But the good news is that replacing the porcelain drip bowl is actually quite a simple DIY job. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver, 8-Inch Frigidaire Range Porcelain Drip Bowl (A316222301), and the tips outlined in this guide.
Step 1: Turn off the power to your range. Unplug the cord from the outlet, or flip the circuit breaker in your home’s fuse box to shut off the power.
Step 2: Lift up the edges of the heating element and remove the screws securing the heating element to the also. Then carefully pull out the heating element.
Step 3: Locate the screw securing the drip bowl. The screw is usually located underneath the heating element.
Step 4: Using your Philips screwdriver, unscrew the drip bowl from its secure position.
Step 5: Take the new 8-inch Frigidaire Range Porcelain Drip Bowl (A316222301) and set it in its place.
Step 6: Secure the drip bowl with the screw you removed in Step 4.
Step 7: Replace the heating element and tighten the screws.
