Idler bracket assembly works with some GE, Hotpoint, and RCA models of clothes dryers. 1. Begin by unplugging the dryer power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Locate the belt tensioner and remove the belt from the motor pulley and idler pulley.
3. Remove the mounting screws from the GE WE49X28031 Idler Bracket & Bearing Assembly.
4. Carefully lift out the old Idler Bracket & Bearing Assembly.
5. Install new GE WE49X28031 Idler Bracket & Bearing Assembly.
6. Reinstall the mounting screws to secure the new Idler Bracket & Bearing Assembly.
7. Reattach the belt to the motor pulley and idler pulley.
8. Reconnect the dryer power cord to the electrical outlet.
9. Test the dryer to ensure it is working properly.
