Detergent cup shaft works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of dishwashers. 1. Unplug the dishwasher from the power source before beginning repairs.
2. Remove the screws from the top panel of the dishwasher with a screwdriver. This will expose the detergent cup shaft.
3. Grip the detergent cup shaft and gently pull it out. It should come out easily.
4. Insert the new WD16X313 GE Dishwasher Detergent Cup Shaft, taking care not to cross-thread it.
5. Secure the detergent cup shaft with the screws you removed earlier and reattach the top panel.
6. Plug in the dishwasher and test the new detergent cup shaft.
