Door gasket works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of dishwashers. Step 1: Unplug the Dishwasher – Before beginning the process of replacing your WD08X10057 GE Door Gasket, make sure to unplug the dishwasher from your wall outlet.
Step 2: Remove Door Panel – To gain access to the WD08X10057 door panel, remove the two screws on the top of the panel near the hinges. Once the screws are detached, lift the top portion of the panel up and off the dishwasher.
Step 3: Remove Gasket – Pull out the old gasket away from the edge of the door and discard. Make sure you do not pull too hard, as this could cause damage to the door.
Step 4: Install New Gasket – Place the new WD08X10057 gasket along the edge of the door. Make sure it is properly aligned and flat against the door.
Step 5: Reattach Panel – Replace the door panel by aligning the top lip with the dishwasher’s top and pushing it down until it clicks. Secure the panel with the two screws that were previously removed.
Step 6: Test and Check – Plug the dishwasher back into the wall and turn it on. Verify that the water is not leaking out the sides of the door. Your GE Dishwasher Door Gasket has now been successfully replaced!
