GE DISHWASHER HEATING ELEMENT – WD05X30298

This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of GE, and Hotpoint models. Step 1: Unplug the dryer from the power source.

Step 2: Remove the back panel, by unscrewing or unclipping it, depending on your dryer model.

Step 3: Disconnect the two wiring harnesses connected to the old heating element.

Step 4: Unscrew and remove the mounting screws which hold the old heating element in place.

Step 5: Pull out the old heating element and discard it.

Step 6: Insert the new GE WD05X30299 Heating Element into place and secure it with the preexisting mounting screws.

Step 7: Connect the two wiring harnesses to the new heating element.

Step 8: Reattach the back panel and make sure all screws and clips are secured.

Step 9: Plug the dryer back into the power source.

Step 10: Test the dryer by running it on a cycle and ensuring it is heating properly.
