This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of GE, and Hotpoint models. Replacing the GE WD24X29438 High Loop Drain Hose
1. Begin by unplugging the appliance and turning off the main water valve to ensure there is no water running while you are working.
2. Place a bucket or bowl underneath the drain hose that needs to be replaced. This will catch any water that spills from the drain hose.
3. Use a pair of pliers to loosen the clamp on the old high loop drain hose.
4. Pull the old drain hose out from the backside of the appliance. Discard the old drain hose.
5. Take the new GE WD24X29438 high loop drain hose and place it through the back side of the appliance.
6. Use the pliers to tighten the clamp on the new drain hose to secure it in place.
7. Turn the main water valve back on and plug the appliance back in.
8. Test the new drain hose by running a cycle and checking for any leaks.
