Interlock switch works with some GE, Hotpoint, and RCA models of dishwashers. 1. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher before beginning repairs.
2. Remove the screws that secure the top panel of the dishwasher and pull off the panel.
3. Unscrew the mounting screws that secure the interlock switch to the dishwasher.
4. Disconnect the two power wires from the old switch and note which color wire is attached to which terminal.
5. Attach the two power wires to the new switch and secure them with the mounting screws.
6. Place the top panel back onto the dishwasher and secure it with the screws.
7. Restore the power to the dishwasher and test the new switch.
