1. Unplug the dishwasher from its electrical outlet and shut off the water supply to the appliance.
2. Open the dishwasher door and remove any dishes or other items inside the appliance. Then locate the screws that hold the dishwasher door panel in place and remove them with a screwdriver.
3. Carefully remove the dishwasher door panel and set it aside. You should now be able to access the dishwasher’s internal components.
4. Find the timer and locate the two wires connecting it to the electrical system of the appliance. Carefully disconnect the two wires.
5. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the timer in place.
6. Insert the new timer and make sure it is secure by tightening the screws.
7. Reconnect the wires to the new timer.
8. Replace the dishwasher door panel and secure it in place with the screws.
9. Turn on the water supply and plug the dishwasher back into its electrical outlet. Test the new timer to make sure it is working correctly.
