1. Unplug the appliance from the wall before beginning any repair work.

2. Remove the top cover of the unit by removing the screws that are located around the perimeter.

3. Carefully remove the Drum baffle assembly and set aside.

4. Disconnect the wiring harness that is connected to the bearing top assembly.

5. Remove the bearing top assembly by unscrewing the mounting screws.

6. Install the new bearing top assembly, connecting the wiring harness and replacing the mounting screws.

7. Reinstall the Drum baffle assembly, carefully realigning the components with the drum and notches in the side walls.

8. Carefully slide the top cover back onto the unit, securing it with the previously removed screws.

9. Plug the appliance back into the wall and test the unit for proper operation.
