GE DRYER BEARING REPAIR KIT – WE49X20697

Bearing repair kit works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of clothes dryers. Step 1: Unplug the Dryer
Before starting any repair work, unplug the dryer from the wall.

Step 2: Open the Dryer Cabinet
To access the dryer’s internal components, open the dryer cabinet. This can be done by removing the top cover, which is typically secured by several screws.

Step 3: Remove the Drum
You’ll need to disconnect the belt from the pulley system to remove the drum. You should then be able to lift the drum out of the cabinet.

Step 4: Replace the Bearing
Once the drum is removed, you can access the bearing. Unscrew and remove the old bearing, then replace it with the new WE49X20697 GE Dryer Bearing Repair Kit.

Step 5: Reassemble the Dryer
