Control knob assembly works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of clothes dryers. 1. Turn off the power to your dryer by unplugging it or switching off the circuit breaker that powers it.
2. Remove the existing knob assembly. Unscrew the screws on the bottom panel of the dryer. Now pull away the panel to reveal the control knob assembly. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the knob assembly and remove the old Knob.
3. Install the new WE01X22616 GE Dryer Control Knob Assembly. Reconnect the wiring harness and secure the Knob with any screws that were removed in step #2.
4. Replace the bottom panel of your dryer and turn the power back on. Test the Knob for proper operation.
