Inlet control thermostat works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of clothes dryers. 1. Unplug the dryer and shut off the power to the outlet.
2. Remove the dryer’s back panel by removing all screws.
3. Locate the broken WE4M398 GE Dryer Inlet Control Thermostat and unplug the wires.
4. Remove the mounting screws that hold the thermostat in place.
5. Install the new thermostat and secure it with the provided mounting screws.
6. Reconnect the wires to the new thermostat.
7. Put the back panel back on the dryer and secure it with the screws you removed.
8. Plug in the dryer and turn the power to the outlet back on.
