If your GE appliance has a clip that is wearing thin or has broken, it’s time to replace it. The GE knob clip, WH01X10106, is the component that holds the appliance knob in place. Replacing this part is an easy repair that you can do yourself with minimal tools. Here’s how:
Materials Needed
• New GE Knob Clip (WH01X10106)
• Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions
1. Unplug any power cords connected to the appliance.
2. Remove the existing knob clip by twisting it counterclockwise and lifting it up (or use the screwdriver to carefully unscrew the clip if it’s stuck).
3. Place the new GE knob clip onto the shaft of the control knob. Make sure the clip is facing the right direction.
4. Twist the new knob clip clockwise until it’s secure.
5. Test the clip by pressing down firmly on the knob to make sure it’s securely in place.
6.Plug the appliance back in and test to make sure it works properly.
