Cooling fan assembly works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of stoves / ovens / ranges. Replacing the GE Range Cooling Fan Assembly with a WB26X29468
1. Unplug the power to your range.
2. Remove the screws and bolts that secure the cooling fan assembly to the back panel of the range.
3. Gently pull the cooling fan and its wiring harness away from the back panel and disconnect the wiring harness.
4. Carefully remove any insulation around the cooling fan.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the old cooling fan.
6. Remove the old cooling fan from the range.
7. Unpack the new WB26X29468 GE Range Cooling Fan Assembly.
8. Insert the new cooling fan in place and use the provided screws to secure it.
9. Reconnect the wiring harness and secure it with the original screws.
10. Place any insulation that had been removed around the new cooling fan.
11. Secure the cooling fan assembly to the back panel of the range with the original screws and bolts.
12. Plug the power back into the range.
13. Test the range to make sure the new cooling fan is working properly.
