Fan switch works with some GE, and Hotpoint models of range hoods. 1. Unplug the range hood from the wall outlet or switch off the power at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the old fan switch from the range hood by loosening the screws that hold it to the range hood using a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Remove the wires connected to the old fan switch, noting which wires are connected to which terminals.
4. Place the new WB24X10129 GE Range Hood Fan Switch in the same location as the old switch, lining up the mounting screws.
5. Connect the wires to the new switch using the same terminal positions as the old switch.
6. Tighten the screws that hold the switch in place.
7. Plug the range hood into the wall outlet or switch the circuit breaker back on.
8. Test the new fan switch to ensure it is working properly.
