This is a genuine OEM part that works for some models of GE, and Hotpoint models. 1. Shut off and unplug the washer before you begin.
2. Locate the control panel and remove the screws securing it to the cabinet.
3. Unplug the wiring harness connected to the speed sensor.
4. Remove the mounting screws for the speed sensor and remove them from the machine.
5. Take the new speed sensor and carefully feed the wiring harness through the front of the washer cabinet.
6. Secure the new speed sensor in place with the mounting screws.
7. Plug the wiring harness into the speed sensor.
8. Reattach the control panel to the washer cabinet and secure it with the screws.
9. Restore power to the washer, plugging it back in.
10. Test the new speed sensor by running a wash cycle.
