1. Begin by unplugging your stove or turning off the power at the circuit box.
2. Once the stove is unplugged, locate the burner cap you need to replace and remove it from the cooktop.
3. Inspect the wiring and ensure that all connections are secure. If there are frayed or damaged wires, replace them with new wires of the appropriate gauge.
