GE TAUPE – LARGE CAP BURNER REP – WB29X36765

Parts may look the same but the size and shape can have small variations. DIY Replacement of GE WB29X36765 Taupe – Large Cap Burner

Step 1: Unplug the range from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: Remove the cooktop surface grates and burner caps from the cooktop.

Step 3: Lift off the cooktop and place it in a safe place.

Step 4: Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the WB29X36765 burner in place.

Step 5: Disconnect the electrical connector on the backside of the burner.

Step 6: Remove the old burner and discard it.

Step 7: Insert the new WB29X36765 burner into the opening.

Step 8: Secure the burner in place using the screws.

Step 9: Reconnect the electrical connector to the backside of the burner.

Step 10: replace the cooktop, burner caps, and grates.

Step 11: Plug the range back into the electrical outlet.

Step 12: Turn the burner on and test the burner to make sure it is working properly.
