Lid lock striker works with some GE, Hotpoint, and RCA models of washing machines. Replacing the WH02X24399 GE Washer Lid Lock Striker
1. Unplug the power cord from your washer and shut off the water supply.
2. Position a towel or rag under the washer to catch any small parts or screws that may fall off during the repair.
3. Remove the screws located around the outer perimeter of the access panel to remove it.
4. Inside the access panel, you will see the lid lock striker.
5. Remove the mounting screws that secure the striker to the cabinet.
6. Gently pull the striker away from the cabinet and remove it.
7. Take the new striker and insert it into the opening, ensuring it is correctly aligned.
8. Secure the striker with the mounting screws.
9. Replace the access panel and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
10. Reconnect the power cord and water supply.
11. Test the washer to make sure the new lid lock striker is working properly.
