2. Locate the bypass filter assembly on the back wall of the refrigerator.

3. Remove the two screws that hold the filter in place and take the filter out.

4. Take the new filter (GE WR17X22070 MWF BYPASS FILTER) and slide it into the filter assembly, aligning the arrow on the filter with the arrow on the filter assembly.

5. Secure the filter in place by replacing the two screws.

6. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet.

7. Reset the water filter indicator light (if applicable) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
