Tools Needed: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, pair of pliers or adjustable wrenches

Step 1: Unplug your washer from the wall and turn off the water supply.

Step 2: Remove the screws from the top or back panel of the washer using a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 3: Carefully lift off the cover and set it aside.

Step 4: Locate the damper shock absorber assembly and remove the screws that secure it in place with the Phillips screwdriver.

Step 5: Disconnect the electrical connectors from the wiring harness near the damper shock absorber assembly.

Step 6: Separate the old shock absorber assembly from the washer.

Step 7: Unpack the new shock absorber assembly and carefully fit it into place, making sure that all screws are aligned and tight.

Step 8: Plug in the electrical connectors to the wiring harness and make sure they are secured in place.

Step 9: Replace the screws that secure the damper shock absorber assembly in place with the Phillips screwdriver.

Step 10: Replace the cover on your washer and secure it with the screws removed earlier.

Step 11: Turn on the water supply and plug in your washer.
